Creating my

book was a fun but

time consuming pro-
cess. Choosing what
type of book I wanted
to create was the hard-
est part. After that the
project went by faster.
Creating the front and
back panel of the book
was tedious. After I
cute the construction
paper and cardboard to
the sizes I wanted I
then began gluing the
pieces together. I glued
the large construction
paper to the cardboard I
cut out. I then cut two
strips and glued the
ends of the strips to-
gether to make the ac-
cordion inside. After
the book was put to-
gether all I had left was
the drawing.
Thinking of
what I wanted my book
to be about was just as
difficult as the discus-
sion of what I wanted
to do my book on. It
was between a story
about how my boy-
friend and I met or the
story of when my father
got sick. In the end I
chose to go with the
story of how my boy-
friend and I met be-
cause it was more up-
beat and I could think
of things to draw for it
easier.
Creating the
pictures for my book
was the best part of this
project. Ive always
liked drawing and I had
fun drawing again. I
find myself not having
much time to draw any-
more and enjoyed it.
The books in
class were exquisite
and many were heart-
warming. I really en-
joyed the tunnel book
Amy made about her
life long dream of be-
coming a teacher. I
could relate to her
story because I also
always wanted to be-
come a teacher. Till this
day I can remember
teaching my younger
sister at our little tots
desk.
