Our target comprehension skill for this week was
identifying character and setting. We also focused on
short vowel sounds for a and i. The students are
enjoying taking part in all of the Daily 5 rotations
now! Please remember that everyone should be
reading at home for at least 20 minutes per night. The
rst Book-It recording sheet will be collected at the
end of October, October 31st.

This week in math we focused on representing
numbers on a number line. We represented sums and
differences within 100 and beyond on a number line.

Next week in math we will be generating
measurement data by measuring several objects and
then showing the measurements by making a line plot.
