I-search what I know
How can schools help kids with ADHD focus in loud/distracting environments?

Kids with ADHD have a hard time focusing, and in most cases, the kid cant even sit still. This
can be a problem, and it sometimes even affects their school work and participation in classes.
some kids get put on medicine, but that isnt enough in some cases. The schools could do a
multitude of ideas that could help, that I will be listing.

One idea that can help is if you isolate the kids into a classroom where only kids like them are,
where there is a regulated way to keep the noise and distractions to a minimum. The way to
keep the sound down is if you have a sound measuring device, that makes a loud noise when
the room gets too loud. If you keep the students in a bland, non stimulating environment, then the
students wont be distracted by the room. There will also be a teacher regulating the distractions
from other students.

Another, more costly way to help is having the teachers pre-record the lesson plan and
download it to mp3 players or computers. The students will be given noise canceling
headphones and the mp3 players that have the pre-recorded lesson plan. The students will listen
to the recording, and not have to listen to the ambient noise that can distract and de-rail the
student from learning what they need to know.

The reason why I chose this question is because I personally have ADHD. Sometimes, I have a
giant problem focusing, and I think that this would help not just myself, but the rest of the kids
that suffer because of ADHD.
