TYPES OF PUPPETS

SOCK PUPPET
Simple type of hand puppet made from sock.
The sock is stretched out fully so that it is
long enough to cover the puppeteer's wrist
and part of the arm.
The puppeteer will hide behind a stand and
raise the hand above it so that only the
puppet is visible.
JUNK PUPPET
Junk puppetry is simply scrounging through all
your "junk" at home and finding interesting
objects to make puppets with.
It can also be the act of taking an ordinary
object and adding some facial features to create
a puppet.
For example : Kitchen spoon, paper bags, plastic
bottles, cans, flyswatter, shoes

FINGER PUPPET
HAND PUPPET
A hand puppet is a type of puppet that is
controlled by the hand or hands that occupies
the interior of the puppet.

HUMAN ARM PUPPET

Also called a "two-man puppet" or a "live-hand
puppet.
Can be 1 or 2 puppeteers
With a little effort, a human arm puppet can
even turn the pages of a book from which she
seems to be reading or perform any human
action.

The first puppeteer places a hand inside the puppet's
head and operates its head and mouth.
The second puppeteer puts their arm into the gloves
and special sleeve attached to the puppet in order to
operate both the puppet's arms. This way, the puppet
can perform arbitrary hand gestures.
