What were the Classical Civilisations ?
The Roman Empire and Ancient Greece between
the 8

Century BCE and the 5

Century AD. These
cultures had an enormous inuence upon the
modern world in the !elds o" philosophy# science#
art# literature# history and society that resonates
today.
What is studied?
Is classics more history or literature?

stories+ tragic dramas and sprawling histories.
