Served as a Student Teacher in a 10
th
grade World History class. Observed teaching strategies
and assisted Mrs. Karen Kawasaki, my mentor and the licensed teacher of the course. Graded
assignments, quizzes, tests, homework and projects. Gave lectures based off powerpoint slides
and other educational worksheets or handouts. Occasionally created lesson plans and graded
tests. Tutored and assisted students both during class and after school. Created a 20 minute
lecture solely based around Vietnam War. Created and graded an end-of-the-year project. Gave
a 17 minute presentation on my experience as a student teacher to a panel of 10 members.
Bowling Attendant 2014-Current
Aztec Lanes
Provided customers with services including rental of billiards, table tennis paddles and tables,
bowling lanes and accessories such as shoes. Maintained upkeep of lanes including oiling,
cleaning, and fixing mechanical or systemic issues. Carried out reservations ranging from
private parties with high-level executives of San Diego State University to childrens birthday
parties and summer camps. Handled crises including fire safety, earthquake safety, and calling
police due to a dangerous person. Often dealt with very busy conditions that required use of
good customer service, moving and applying resources including lane transfers and waiting
lists.

Patrick Henry High School & Lewis Middle School
Observed certified teachers with a Single-Subject Social Science credential. Noted different
teaching tactics they used including technology and reaction of students.
