Calderdale Royal Hospital's complex maternity, neonatal, and acute children's services are at risk of closure. The local NHS wants to close the hospital's A&E department and replace it with a minor injuries unit, which would require closing the complex services. However, hundreds of acute beds at another hospital are being cut despite it taking on more patients from closures elsewhere. Local residents are organizing pop-up protests to voice opposition to the changes and keep services at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

CHILDREN!S SERVICES AT CALDERDALE ROYAL HOSPITAL ARE AT RISK! NO NHS CUTS OR SELL OFFS POP UP AND PROTEST! It!s our hospital - we!re going to save it Published by Save CRH, 19 Unity St, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8HQ Our complex maternity, neonatal & acute children!s services at Calderdale Royal Hospital are at risk WIll you join pop up protests to keep these services in Halifax? Calderdale and Hudderseld NHS bosses want to close Calderdale!s A&E department and replace it with a minor injuries unit. Without an A&E, complex maternity, neonatal and children!s medical and surgical wards at Calderdale Royal Hospital would also have to close. Anyone needing these services would have to go to Hudderseld Royal Inrmary (HRI). But hundreds of acute beds at HRI are to be cut - even though HRI will have about 20,000 extra A&E patients a year because Dewsbury A&E is being closed, as well as extra acute patients because of other cuts at Dewsbury Hospital. Local NHS bosses were supposed to consult the public over these changes this summer, but they!ve chickened out in the face of massive protests. Now they!re going ahead with plans without asking the public. But a buggy army would make them listen up! If you can give a couple of hours every now and then to join pop up protests please email savecrh@gmail.com It!s our hospital - we!re going to save it Published by Save CRH, 19 Unity St, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8HQ
