1) State banks had the highest interest rates between 1.5-1.6% from 2012-2014.
2) Regional government banks offered slightly higher rates than private national banks and foreign/joint banks, ranging from 2.2-2.5% in recent years.
3) Foreign banks and joint banks provided the lowest rates between 0.8-1.2% over the period shown.
