Book Pass

Brief Description (in your own words):
Book pass is an activity that gives students a chance to briefly examine a number of books. The
books can include different titles and genres for a specific purpose. They can be used to teach a
new concept or theme in class.
How you plan to use this strategy in your Practicum, Internship, Student Teaching, or in your
classroom:
I would use this in my classroom when I want students to go more in depth with a certain sport
or topic. I would use a book pass if I wanted to teach the history of a sport and I wanted my
students to learn as much as they can about the sport and be as familiar as they can with it. It
could be another way they learn the sport including learning by doing. Students can also learn a
greater appreciation for sports they never considered liking.
