Computers speak in ones and zeros, this is called binary code.
All your files are saved as ones and
zeros Optical storage is a method of reading and writing data to a disk using a laser. U get a plastic disk then apply bumps and a layer of aluminium then apply another sheet of plastic for protection. The computer reads the disk by using a fun size laser and shoots it of the bumps; it reads the 1s and 0s.
. CDS = MUSIC, SOFTWARE (0.7GB) . DVDS = MOVIES, GAMES, SOFTWARE (4.7GB) . BLUE RAY = HD MOVIES (25GB)
Blu-Ray uses a blue-violet laser as opposed to the red laser used on DVDs. This allows Blu-Ray discs to hold a lot more information on them than a DVD. The 1X data-transfer rate for Blu-ray Disc is 36 megabits per second for data and 54 mbps for movies, as opposed to 11 mbps for 1X DVD (data) and 10 mbps for DVD-Video. HD DVD's maximum data-transfer rate is 36.55 mbps for both movies and data.
