Optical storage is a method of reading and writing data to a disk using a laser.
U get a plastic disk then apply bumps and a layer of aluminium then apply another sheet of plastic
for protection. The computer reads the disk by using a fun size laser and shoots it of the bumps; it
reads the 1s and 0s.

Blu-Ray uses a blue-violet laser as opposed to the red laser used on DVDs. This allows Blu-Ray discs
to hold a lot more information on them than a DVD.

for movies, as opposed to 11 mbps for 1X DVD (data) and 10 mbps for DVD-Video. HD
DVD's maximum data-transfer rate is 36.55 mbps for both movies and data.
