Lindsey Graham
a. Tax Policy- Believes taxes should be fair to all people. To put children ahead of millionaires and billionaires
by restoring the pre-2001 top income tax rate for people earning over $1 million, and use this revenue to invest in
LIHEAP; IDEA; Head Start; Child Care; nutrition; school construction and deficit reduction.
b. Business Growth/Policy- strongly supports the investment strategy that aims to grow invested capital
over the long term. Supports minimizing risks by making long-term investments in companies that show consistent
growth over time.
c. Civil Rights-Supports the Constitutional Amendment to ban Gay Marriage (2008)
d. Size of Government (Govt spending, debts, deficits, budget)- Strongly opposes higher taxes on the
wealthy.
e. National Defense- strongly supports to expand the military. Strongly supports absolute right to own guns and
for americans to have gun ownership.
f. Educational Policy- schools should allow children time to pray for, or silently reflect upon, the country
during the war against terrorism. No Child Left Behind Act of 2001: Vote to pass a bill that would authorize $22.8 billion
in education funding, a 29 percent increase from fiscal 2001. The bill would require states to test students to track
progress.

Lindsey Graham
g. Entitlements/Social Safety Net Issues- Strongly Supports privatizing social security. Create personal
retirement accounts within social security.
h. Guns- Supports the idea of people being allowed to have rights to owning and carrying guns.
i. Immigration- favors that immigrants should have a right and pathway to citizenship.
j. Monetary Policy- Supports the interest of the taxpayer ahead of politics by consistently voting to cut
wasteful spending, reduce the tax burden, and make government more accountable to taxpayers.
k. Womens Issues
l. Religion- Graham was an original co-sponsor of a resolution that stated people ought to retain the right
to pray and recognize their religious beliefs, heritage, and traditions on public property, including schools.
m. trade policy- support free trade. international trade left to its natural course without tariffs, quotas, or other
restrictions
n. Transportation- The Conservatives Party beliefs on transportation is The Centers primary purpose is
to build support for public transportation, especially urban and intercity rail, as a non-partisan, non-ideological
infrastructure issue.

Thomas Ravenel
a. Tax Policy-Opposes higher taxes on the wealthy. Lower taxes and a smaller government with limited power will improve the standard of living for
all. Support lower taxes and a smaller government. Lower taxes create more incentive for people to work, save, invest, and engage in entrepreneurial endeavors.
b. Business Growth/Policy-America should adopt measures to help revive and sustain economic vitality.
A. Tax Credits, Incentives and Penalties. Congress should: enact Payroll Tax credits for small businesses to spur growth; provide U.S. multi-national
corporations with tax credits for hiring U.S. citizens to work in America; impose tax penalties for every American job sent off-shore.
B. Stop Off-Shoring Jobs. We encourage American multi-national corporations to stop sending jobs offshore. We should also encourage Shareholders and
Boards of Directors to help sustain the U.S. economy by halting this short-sighted practice by building more manufacturing plants and Call Centers in America.
C. Buy American. We encourage the American public to do its part in sustaining the U.S. economy by purchasing products Made in America whenever
possible. They should also encourage stores to stock American made products. A Buy American initiative will help U.S. companies create jobs in America.
c. Civil Rights-U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are the Supreme Law of the Land- The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are the Supreme Law
of the land and shall be taken literally. Our rights are natural rights and are given to us by our Creator that no man can take away. All laws infringing on these
rights must be repealed. All treaties that impose International Law on Americans which usurp the Constitution or Bill of Rights must be revoked.
d. Size of Government (Govt spending, debts, deficits, budget)- Federal spending is headed for a doomsday scenario.
e. National Defense- I want a military that defends America, not Germany or Japan. We absolutely must have the world's strongest military
f. Educational Policy- The government should not be using and spending money on ineffective programs.
g. Entitlements/Social Safety Net Issues- The Social Security system is in serious financial trouble. Major changes to the current system are
urgently needed. Opportunities should be provided to make it possible for those in need to become self-reliant.
h. Guns- Its always amazed me that government was so gung-ho to restrict our constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms. After all, the
governments own statistics conclusively prove my point that increased gun ownership among the law-abiding public leads to a safer society.
i. Immigration- "Our immigration system causes the very problems we decry. Oppose illegal immigration, amnesty for illegals, welfare benefits for
illegals, the inconsistent enforcement of existing law as well as the adoption of failed policies that incentivize border-hopping. I also oppose Americas failed War
on Drugs which is inducing violence in Mexico and Central America and causing a flood of unaccompanied minors into our country. My campaign embraces
legal immigration.

Thomas Ravenel Cont...
j. Monetary Policy-Invasive and unnecessary government not only limits your freedom, it limits our prosperity as a
people. We must dramatically scale back the size and scope of the federal government identifying federal agencies and
programs that can be cut, terminated, transferred to the states or privatized. Otherwise working families are going to
see huge tax increases that dwarf anything weve seen in decades. Cutting government is vital to restoring the
competitive balance in our system and empowering job makers and job seekers in our consumer economy.
k. Womens Issues- No information or voting record on this topic
i. Religion- The phrase separation of church and state is not in the Constitution. The First Amendment to the
Constitution states Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof This prevents the government from establishing a national church/denomination. However, it does
not prohibit God from being acknowledged in schools and government buildings.
m. trade policy- Congress should enact laws that Reciprocates (Copies) those fees on products from each country that
exports to the U.S.
n. Transportation- They do not oppose public transportation but they do not fully support the government providing
funds for this.
o. Military- all veterans will be able to access the health care they need at any medical facility they choose, whether that
be at Veterans Administration Medical Centers (VAMCs) or private facilities. Veterans should be able to use a voucher
to purchase private health insurance if they choose to do so, giving them the ability to hire and fire their own medical
providers they should not be stuck in a government-run health care monopoly.

B- Democrats are fighting to strengthen our economy further and create jobs for American workers by ending
tax loopholes for corporations, providing tax cuts to small businesses, investing in a clean-energy economy,

life as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is an honor to take the day and pay my utmost respect to him.
D- Wants to raise minimum wage
E- Democrats and President Obama are focused on preventing terrorism across the globe. This means
continuing to invest heavily in intelligence and information sharing and promoting those networks among
our allies.(http://www.democrats.org/issues/national_security)
