Robots with no bots??

Spotlight on Miss
Humes class
A couple of weeks ago Miss Hume
found a robots bottom in her
classroom and it got her thinking
about the book No-Bot. Since
then, the children have been
learning to retell the story of
Bernard the poor robot who lost
his bottom in the park, so that
they can write No-Bot 2.
They have also been investigating
different materials for a parachute
to get Baby Brains (an egg!) safely
back from space.
Whats been happening in school this week?
Newsletter - 26th October 2014
St Peters
Church of England Primary School
Phoebe was star of the week for
making fantastic progress in maths.
She has really tried very hard in class
and at home to improve and she has
grown in confidence.
Stars of the week
Handball tournament
This week year 3 and 4 had a handball
tournament as our end of unit
outcome. The winning teams were
Josie's and Finlay's. We also provided certificates for our
eight amazing referees.
Our excellent musicians
I was extremely proud of Cerys and
George who were invited to attend a
Gifted and Talented Music Day at St.
Peters in Lympstone last Friday. They
were both a credit to the school and
as a result of their performances on
the day, they been invited to join a
string group so well done!
Baby Brains! KS1 Open Morning
What a fun and enjoyable morning we had this week
with the children and parents in Key Stage 1. Aided
with tea and coffee, the parents had to help the
children make a vehicle that would return Baby Brains
(in the form of an egg!) to Earth. Lots of amazing and
creative inventions were produced. Well done
everyone!!
Year 6 community spirit
I am very pleased with some of our year 6s who have
taken it upon themselves to run some clubs at lunchtime
for our younger pupils. Pictured on the left is the art
club, and we also have a loom-band club and a fashion
club. Good work year 6!
Film night success!

The School Crossing is savedhooray!

the crossing open for the next three years. This is an extremely kind and generous offer.
We need someone to man the crossing. If you are interested please see the school office.
Thank you to all of those that attended the film night to
