Reading Next week, we will take a break from our regular
reading work and do some diferent fun, seasonal actvites.
There will be no reading test next week.
GrammarWe will present our debates this week and review
diferent parts of speech. There will be a unit test next week.
Writng We will begin a descriptve writng unit. I think this
is always a fun unit. We will be working on using the senses to
create vivid pictures with words.
Spelling No spelling test next week, but some of you may
want to get a jump start...so here is your list for the following
week!
Social Studies We have been studying early explorers and
students have received the study guide. The test will be next
Tuesday. Please study as our last test were not good.
Science Unit 3 deals with our solar system. We spent this
week learning about the moon. Next week we will be review-
ing, doing hands-on actvites, and getng reading for our Unit
test. Remember the extra credit opton of observing the moon
for 4 weeks!

Note From the Teacher:


Next week we will abandon our regular routine and do fun seasonal activities. We will
still have a social test on Tues and a math test on Wed. We will also have a grammar test that we
will be reviewing for. Please encourage your child to come prepared!
You should have gotten a paper explaining Flashlight Friday. It is a fun day and Thank
you in advance for those who are willing to send in treats. The students picked a breakfast
theme, so that they could eat in their pajamas.
Progress reports were sent home today. Please have those signed and returned on Mon-
day. Please note that with the extra credit offered and the option to turn in corrected work there
should be no Fs. I have also had several missing assignments that I had to give zeros.
