PARTY TIME!

Situation: You are planning a birthday party and need to figure out how much
food and drink you will need to buy.
You send out 15 invitations to your friends.
Pizza: You are going to have pizza at your party.
a. How can you figure out how many pieces of pizza you will need?

b. You estimate that each person will eat 3 slices of pizza.
Complete the table to find how much pizza is needed for different number of guests.


c. Use the table to look for patterns.

d. Create a rule from the pattern to help you figure out the number of slices of pizza you
