Leonid Afremov is a Jewish artist that used
palette, knifes, and oil in his paintings. He
created his own unique technique which is almost
unmistakable and can not be confused with other
artist. He mainly paints cityscapes ,seascapes,
flowers, and portraits. He was a modern
impressionistic artist. That means that he paints
based on subjective reactions presented
unsystematically. He influences me because of
his amazing craftsmanship.

Leonid Afremovs work was impactful
because it gave another perspective of beauty
for people. Seeing the leaves and the shimmer
of the water are definitely seen as beautiful to
me and probably to many others.

In both we used Elements of Art such as line (my
background lines compared to the branches of his
trees), color, and value (my bubble shading
compared to the way the lights feel on the street).
We also both used Principles of Design such as
contrast, emphasis, and unity.
* Used shape with the flower
because its 2-D.
* Used rhythm with the
design in the background.
* Used movement with the
background.
* Only used colored pencils
and a pencil.
* Used space with how far
apart each tree was from
each other.
* Used texture when making
the leaves of the trees by
doing small quick daps.
* Used proportion with the
people compared to the
trees and building.
* Used oil pastels.

I think that Leonid Afremov might have
liked my style of work. My work is like his in
some ways but in others they are almost
opposites. First of all we both use a small
amount of abstract using colors, he used it with
the leaves on trees and I used it with the water
droplets on the flower petals. The only way I
dont think that he would like it would be
because mine doesnt have enough bright colors,
unlike his that is almost covered in only colors.
