Love is Never Selfsh


Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and
confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each
day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker
on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional.
At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion
and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks
Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in
the foyer of Power Source.

One day, King Ahab saw Naboth tending his own vineyard (thats a
garden where you grow grapes). King Ahab wanted that vineyard
for himself. Naboth told him him no - he needed to keep his familys
vineyard. King Ahab was so mad. Although he already had lots of
land, he was being selfsh. Queen Jezebel had Naboth killed. Now
Ahab could have the land. But God was not pleased with Ahab
and Jezebels selfshness. It would later cost them their own lives. I
Kings 21: 1-26
God,
What a good God you are! Thank you for my parents,
teachers, friends and Pastor Ron and his family. Protect
them and help them have power, love, and a sound mind.
Thank you for flling me with your special love. Forgive
me when I make bad choices. Thank you for teaching me
to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I
will live a long life on the earth. Help me to tell others
about You! Thank you that because of Jesus, I am healed
and whole.
