Program to convert impedance formats and plot data
==================================================
This program can convert radio frequency or microwave impedance
values given in any one of ten different formats into any other format.
It may be used to convert a single value, or to create a table. Any set
of data can be plotted on the screen. The program shows all available
options and prompts for all necessary input.
The following complex impedance forms can be handled:
S11/dB @S11/deg return loss [dB] and angle [deg] ref. to 50 Ohm
S11 abs @S11/deg reflection factor and angle [deg] ref. to 50 Ohm
Z/Ohm @Z/deg impedance magnitude [Ohm] and phase [deg]
Y/mS @Y/deg admittance magnitude [milli-Siemens] and phase
R/Ohm X/Ohm series-connected resistance and reactance
G/mS B/mS parallel conductance and susceptance in milli-S
Rp/Ohm Cp/pF parallel resistance [Ohm] and capacitance [pF]
Rs/Ohm Ls/nH series resistance [Ohm] and inductance [nH]
VSWR @S11/deg VSWR and angle of reflection factor ref. to 50 Ohm
r |Zo @r|Zo/dg reflection factor and angle ref. to other real
impedance Zo to be specified
The user specifies one input format and one or two output formats.
Input for each data point consists of three numbers on one line:
the frequency and the two numbers describing the complex input
impedance. The entries may be in I-,F- or E-format and should be
separated by commas. The program prompts for these data.
When a table is created, it is displayed after all input data have
been entered. The table may be modified, stored in a file, recalled and
changed further. Any one data set of the table can be plotted on the
screen versus frequency with fully automatic scaling.
This program requires an 8087-type coprocessor. Plotting uses CGA.
The *.arc file includes two examples of data files. IMP-1.DAT just
shows the range of values between "open" and "short" that can be
handled; the input was given in format (1). IMP-2.DAT is the input
impedance of a parallel resonant circuit having a resistor in series
with the inductor; here the input data is given in format (5).
