Sub: Complaint regarding the poor response from the bank reg.
Sir / Madam,
I have faced a worst experience in Indian Bank MLA Hostel Branch, Chennai, Tamil
Nadu yesterday (08.10.2014). I went to join a course in Madras University and due to the over
crowd in the Indian Bank- Madras University Branch, I went to remit the fees in MLA Hostel
Branch at 3:00 PM.
I noted the working hours of Bank ends at 3:30 PM, so I rushed inside the Bank at 3:00
PM and went to the Cash Counter with the Challan. But the Cashier presented at the Cash
Counter did not even responded and she said that the Bank is closed at 3:00 PM and she
questioned me Why you are coming to this branch, go and pay at the University Branch.? I
answered her, Mam, as per the Bank information displayed in the notice board, Bank timing
gets over at 3:30 PM, So, I came here and also as per the information printed in the Bank
Challan, I can pay the money in any of the Core Branch of the Indian/IOB Banks.
She was very angry with my reply and she just shut the window door of her cabin and
said, I wont collect your money. You just move out.
Nationalized banks has been formed to serve the people, I never get this kind of response
in Private Banks. Due to this kind of worst behavior of Bank Staffs, Public people are getting
affected. As, I had the bike with me, I immediately went to IOB, Chepauk Branch and remitted
my fees. If I dont have bike and If I am new to Chennai, I would not been able to complete my
works yesterday.
For completing the government related works, we are putting one day leave to the office
and we are spending the hours in the Government offices. But due to the carelessness of this kind
of Staffs, we cant able to complete the work in the prescribed time and it leads to excess days of
leave in our office.
I am raising this complaint in favor of public Interest and I hope that a strong action will
be taken against the particular Bank Staff and I wish that the action should be a benchmark for
all the Bank Staffs. So that this kind of bitter and worst experience wont repeat again.
