PTM General Meeting Minutes

Location: McKinley Library
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM
Special guest: Mrs. Pleau presented information about McKinleys State Report Card.
Old Business:
Move to approve September General meeting minutes as published. Motion passed, 4 in favor, none
opposed.
New Business:
Fun Run Ali Jack
Thanks to all the volunteers.
Close to goal: $9472.80 raised so far. Late money will count toward $10,000 goal but not for
prizes.
Exciting prizes include Nike tour for highest money raised per grade. T-Shirts awarded to all who
raised $75 or more. Prize for class with highest average laps.
Looking for sponsors to offset cost of shirts.
Expenses to be well under budget.
Fall Festival Rebecca Bennett (as read by Greg Colton)
Adjustments made due to last years learnings include pre-sale of tickets (going well) and we will
be opening a ticket booth early. These changes are to help alleviate long lines experienced last
year. Cake Walk to be held in Music room with donated store purchased cakes. Homemade
cakes are not allowed.
Volunteers are needed. High school and middle school students can volunteer to help gain
service hours.
Audit Update Greg Colton
Following the full board transition this year, we conducted an accounting audit in cooperation with past
and current board members. Results of the audit led us to involve the authorities. We believe the issue
has been isolated and are cooperating with the Beaverton Police during their ongoing investigation.
This is an active investigation.
Our hope is to be able to discuss more at our November meeting, but this will be up to the
investigation timing.
