MEMBERS UPDATE ON THE BRAKES DIRECT BORDER RANGES RALLY 2015

To our valued members/competitors/officials and stewards.

The Gold Coast Tweed Motorsport Club Executive Committee would like to
inform its members of our recent decision to change the structure of the
Border Ranges Rally from 2015 onwards.
The Club is keen to structure an event that better represents the wishes of
the Club Executive, the members, officials, current and potential
competitors and one that would better fit with the current economic state
of the rally community as a whole.
In summary, the Executive feels that the Border Ranges Rally needs to be
condensed to a 1-1 day (maximum) event including recce and media day
as the Club cannot support such a large event physically or financially
and the majority of feedback from competitors, event directors and
member surveys, highlights the fact that we need to condense this event
for its success in the future.
The GCTMC Committee will be drafting a proposed schedule for the 2015
event and working closely with Kyogle Council to find an optimal solution
for all parties. The Club looks forward to forming an organising Committee
to ensure the continued success of this great rally.
The Committee wish to thank the 2014 Border Ranges Committee for their
hard work and dedication and look forward to an exciting and refreshed
2015 Border Ranges Rally.
