    POM (Polyoxymethylene) Sealing Chain Specification

    1. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
    The POM-sealing chain shall be designed according to Euronorms prEN 1337-5:1999. The POM
    sealing chain shall consist of individual interlocking elements which can adapt easily to deformation.
    Width and hight of the individual elements shall be :
    a) elastomer diameter D 550 mm: 10 mm 0.5 mm;
    b) elastomer diameter D > 550 mm: 15 mm 1.0 mm
    The POM-sealing ring shall be moulded as an integral part of the elastomeric pad during the
    vulcanisation process to ensure correct functioning.
    2. MATERIAL PROPERITIES
    The material used for the moulded seals shall be polyoxymethylene (POM) and shall have the
    properties shown below table.
