Teacher Introduction Letter
Dear Parents,

My name is Gabriel Perurena, and I am excited to be your students 9
th
Grade Biology
teacher at Fake T. Fakington High School this year.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in History, before completing a
health sciences curriculum through the University of California. I also have experience working
as a technician in medical research labs.

I understand science can be more difficult than other subjects for some students. But please
dont let your student worry! Since I discovered my passion for the sciences later in life I know
how to make them exciting and fun to those who might find them dreary, and how to teach
science to those who find it incomprehensible. For those students who love science, I love it
with them.

This year, in our class, I expect a high degree of maturity from all of my students. We will be
doing hands on labs, in addition to book work. In compliance with Fakeville Independent
School District Policy, I will need one parents signature on the attached form, describing the
labs we will be completing.

I am happy to speak more with you about any comments, questions, or concerns you may have
about your child in my class. My conference hours during the day are Monday-Friday 10:30-
