Lord of the Flies-Summative Literary Essay

This is an in-class essay assignment.

You have 4 in-class (computer lab) work periods. The essay must be written on a
google doc in your wrdsb googleapp account. The history of your writing is
available if any concerns arise.

Avoid absences, extra time will only be given for unavoidable, validated absences.

No work may be completed outside of class time.

The Essay Format
-A formal, literary essay, using primary and secondary sources on the novel Lord
of the Flies.
-Approx. 600-700 words, double-spaced
-a minimum of 5 paragraphs including:
1- the introductory paragraph
2- 3 body paragraphs each explaining the three
points with one primary quotation and one
secondary proof.
3- a concluding paragraph
-a Works Cited page, properly formatted using MLA style (use the library
homepage cites for guidance), listing the novel and your sources

Evaluation - 10% of your overall mark
