Kara kuzhambu Kulambu recipe

Gingely oil/cooking oil 3 tblsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
Mustard 1 tsp
rad dal 1 tsp
!oor dal 1 tsp

To grind
#oconut grated 1/2 cup

Method
1. #&op 1 onion roug&ly and ot&er onion and tomato 'inely( )eel t&e garlic(
*+tract t&e tamarind ,uice( -eat kadai .it& oil and temper .it& t&e items gi$en under
/to temper0 table in order( 1dd garlic and onion and 'ry till transparent( 1dd tomatoes
and 'ry till so't(
2( 1dd t&e tamarind e+tract and enoug& .ater2salt2 turmeric2 sambar po.der( 1dd
drumstick cut into desired si3e( 4et it boil 'or 4 minutes( !&en add brin,al and bring to
boil( Grind coconut and anot&er onion smoot&ly .it& little .ater and add it to t&e
ku3&ambu(
3( 4et it boil until t&e brin,al gets cooked and t&e ku3&ambu gets t&ick( 1dd
pepper po.der and ,aggery and trans'er to t&e ser$ing bo.l(
Notes
Brinjal gets cooked easily, so add it later after drumstick gets cooked almost 3/4th.
You can add any vegetable of your choice. Even any one of drumstick or brinjal alone.
If you dont have sambar o!der, you can try !ith red chilli o!der too. But use " ts
only and add # ts dhaniya o!der.
