Literacy Inquiry:
- We will read some great books: Elmer, Emily and Mortimer, Elmos guessing game and Bears
new friend.
- We will learn about the sight word THE and review the sight words WE and AT.
- We will review the role of the author and illustrator and what is a front cover , back cover and title
page.
- Activities include: An Elmo craft, exploring with the formation of the letter E , rainbow writing sight
words and many more fun activities.
Dear Parents,
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Kindly find below some of the things we will be doing this
week. Lets have fun learning :)
Unit of Inquiry:
-Learner Profile: We will discuss the learner profile attribute Caring and we will read the book Its
sharing day for Dora the explorer to discuss how important sharing is and that Sharing is caring! :)
-Who we are Central Idea: Friendship reflects who we are and enrich our lives.
-Activities include : We will continue talking about the role of friendship in our lives and we will do a
chart where the kids get to identify what good friends do and what they dont .
Show and Tell: This Thursday we are
sharing things starting with letter E.

Math Inquiry:
-We will continue learning about 2D shapes reviewing rectangles, ovals , squares, circles and
triangles and introducing Hexagons as well.
-Activities include: drawing in their journals A circle can be , copying numbers on small white
boards and many more fun activities.
