(40 mins) Students will pull and combine information from multiple sources to gain more knowledge about the rainforest. They will notice when facts match up across sources and when they conflict. Students will keep track of what they learn from each source, compare and contrast the information, and pull together information to write and speak about the rainforest. The resources used will be: -The Most Beautiful -Roof in the World -Exploring Ecosyst- ems -Tropical Rain Forest Habitats -Rain Forest Students will continue to work on research project.(40 mins) Students will begin writing (W.) to combine their information into a synthesized and well- written essay.
Students will take turns in Library to do research in books and online with help from the teacher to add one more resource, if found. Students will use resource given by teacher and one found in the library on their own. (currently working out library schedule for the three classes with Mrs. Thomack)

RL.5.9 Students will learn how to compare/contrast stories in the same genre on their approaches to similar themes. Both of these texts have an ending that the narrator did not expect. Teacher will ask questions pertaining to: In what way is one passages approach to the theme Students will continue to work on research project. Students will begin writing (W.) to combine their information into a synthesized and well- written essay. (40 mins)
