Gold Coast Water’s Integrated
Management System (IMS), which helps address and manage strategic and operational risks of the Gold Coast Water business, won the Reports, Procedures and Systems Award. Developed nearly a decade ago, the IMS continues to evolve and has been successfully applied to manage risk and to facilitate continual improvement at all levels of the business. With increasing pressure from climate change, significant population growth and increasing community and government expectations relating to the provision of water services, GCW has recognised how important it is to manage the business Happy to receive the award - left to right: in a sustainable way. Using the IMS as a framework, GCW exceeds legislative requirements as it examines and addresses risks that are specific to the business through ingrained GCW work practices.
