Spelling: Unit 2 Review
No spelling homework this week
Students will have a spelling test on Friday. 20 spelling words have been chosen from Unit 2 and are
posted in the classroom.
Language: Unit 2 Review
Students will be tested on Plural Nouns, Possessive Nouns, Action and Linking Verbs, Main and
Helping Verbs, and Subject-Verb Agreement.
Writing: Students will share their historical fiction narratives.
Social Studies: Week 10: Middle Colonies
Test on Friday. Students can use newspaper and notes on test.
Reading: Unit 2 Review Week
Math: Chapter 3 Add and Subtract Decimals
Test will be Wednesday, Nov. 5
Begin Chapter 4 Multiply Decimals
Science: Light Rays
Compare how light rays are bent by concave and convex lenses
No test this week
Other Information:
**Veterans Day Program-Nov. 6 @ 9:00am. All veterans are invited to attend the program. No
school Tuesday, Nov. 11.
**Central School T-shirts will be available Friday, Nov. 7. If you did not order a t-shirt earlier and
would like one, please send money on Friday. T-shirts are $7 each.
**November 19-Holiday Pictures
**NEHS will be able to donate $450 to United Cerebral Palsy thanks to the coin wars pumpkin
contest!!!
**Congrats to our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Tipton and Mrs. Collins, and to our Support Employee of
the Year Lynn Hudson.
**Central School Night will be the 2nd Monday of each month at El Monte and Chill Factory. When
you check out, please remember to tell them you are from Central School. Our school receives a %
of the sales for that evening.
**Doughnuts will be sold in the car rider line on Friday mornings. Please pre-order to ensure you get
your box. Sales benefit students who are going to Washington, D.C.
