Steve Jobs Informative Essay: Introduction

our task is to combine what you are learning about Steve Jobs and Apple Inc. from
Patricia Lakins novel, Steve Jobs: Thinking Differently, with information gathered through
online research. You will use this knowledge to compose a 5 paragraph essay about how
Apple changed the role of computers.
When Steve Jobs created Apple, he revolutionized the concept of the computer, making it a
user-friendly, in-home device, which it previously had not been. You will locate information
online to support this concept, and your essay will have 3 body paragraphs that discuss
separate ways that Steve Jobs and Apple revolutionized the computer. Each paragraph will be
supported using evidence from your research, and the novel.
All components will be worked on during class time. Due dates will be given as we progress
through the unit. Any work not completed during the class time becomes homework, due on
the original due date. Late work will be graded according to our school-wide late work policy.
