    PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


    Date: November 4, 2014
    Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe advises that 47 year old Freddy PerezCartagena of Olathe has been arrested for one count of rape and one count of
    aggravated sodomy in District Court case number 14CR2395.
    Freddy Perez-Cartagena was charged in this case following a report taken in August
    of 2014 by a victim who reported she was sexually assaulted by an employee who identified
    himself as Erik at Massage Serenity, located at 10729 Shawnee Mission Parkway in
    Shawnee, Kansas.
    Perez-Cartagena is currently in custody in the Johnson County Detention Center with a
    $100,000 bond. He will make his first court appearance on November 13 at 1:30p.m.
    The District Attorneys Office urges citizens to make direct contact with the Shawnee Police
    Department at (913) 631-2150 the TIPS Hotline email: crimetips@cityofshawnee.org if they
    have any information that could assist in this case.
    Freddy Perez-Cartagena should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
