college magazine
Q1.HOW DOES YOUR MAGAZINE REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
Q2.HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?
WHAT ASPECTS OF YOUR WORK ARE YOU PLEASED W ITH AND W HY?
WHAT ASPECTS COULD BE IMPROVED?

How does your magazine represent

particular social groups?
My magazine represents my social groups as the topics
addressed in my coverlines relates to what my research found
was appealing.
The target audience is a college student and my magazine offers
advice, deals and other offers that would be appealing to a
student.

Q2.how did you attract/address your

audience?
I used a photo of a happy student on my cover, he is
smiling which makes the cover seem friendly and
inviting. I also used offers and coverlines that would be
appealing to students, such as advice on dealing with
exam stress. I used coverlines that would appeal to all
students rather than a small group.

What aspects of your work are you

pleased with and why?
I am pleased with the layout of my front cover. The coverlines and buzzwords
are eye-catching and would draw the readers attention. I also like the colour
scheme although it could be improved.
Im also happy with the photo I used. The models pose is relaxed and casual and
I think it helps to appeal to students as I dont think they would want a really
formal magazine as they wouldnt be able to relate to it as well.

Im also happy with the contents page, although I only used one photo when
really I could have used a few to improve the look of it.

What aspects could be improved?

I could improve a number of things with my college magazine.
The colour scheme on the cover is very similar to the colours my model is
wearing so it doesnt stand out as much as I hoped. Also the contents page, I
should have used more photos as it doesnt look that good with just one.
