& We looked deeper into our folktale books to find
out how our books fell into the folktale genre.
& We started Book Clubs again and got to vote on
the book we most wanted to read.
& We studied the letters K and W.
& We are continuing to work on sorting rhyming
words for our word study.

Picture Retake Day is

Wednesday, November 12.
School Skate is Friday,
November 14 from 5-7 at Skate
Zone in Lincoln.
Books and Bagels with Mom
(or a special guest) will be on
Friday, November 21st from
8:30-10:00. There will be more
information coming home as it
gets closer.
Thanksgiving Break is
November 26th- 28th.

Math:
+ We continued talking about 5 groups within
numbers.
+ We worked on making addition problems for
numbers 6-10 using 5-groups. 8 = 5 +3

Writers Workshop:
! We are continuing to work on true stories from our
lives. We learned that we can add speech bubbles
to help us remember to write speaking parts.
! We are working on true stories that will be used
during our Publishing Party.

Science:
We continued working on living and nonliving

things and what makes something a living thing.

Literacy Tip: One way to help your student become a better writer is to encourage oral
storytelling at home. Ask your child to tell you about their day and include details such as who,
what, and where. Also remind them to tell you what people said!
