FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can you predict the direction of the market?

Avant-Garde Capital never claims to predict the direction of the market; in fact, our strategies are
largely predicated on the assumption that market movements are mostly random and unknowable.
Our models rely on exploiting slight statistical probabilities over time, independent of market
conditions. We choose to respond to the market rather than react or attempt to predict it.

How do you intend to profit when the market is going do

wn?

Avant-Garde Capital holds no directional bias, meaning that nearly equal weighting is given to
long and short positions. This differs from many traditional "buy and hold" investment strategies.
Our models have been proven in both trending and ranging markets, with the capacity to
dynamically adjust for changing volatility levels.

How do you account for the various economic factors that

affect the market?
Avant-Garde Capital believes that all known fundamental factors are reflected in the price of the
instruments we trade. While we understand that global events and economic news releases play
a significant role in the market, we do not see them as immediate trading opportunities. AvantGarde Capital observes the market's reaction to these events and responds with objective price
analysis.

What is the

process to open an account with Avant Garde?

Step 1 - Client opens account with approved broker

Step 2 - Client consults with Avant-Garde Advisor regarding investment objectives
Step 3 - Client completes Avant-Garde Capital management agreement and selected Broker
limited trading authorization & limited power of attorney
Step 4 - Allocate money to account to be traded

When can I withdraw money from the account?

Because of the liquidity of our proprietary strategy, Avant-Garde Capital clients have easy access
to their capital. Your money can be withdrawn just as cash can be withdrawn in a typical
brokerage account. Clients technically have access to all capital in their accounts, although if
funds are allocated to trading positions at the time they request to withdraw money, open trades
may need to be closed prematurely. This could result in a gain or loss depending on the state of
the open trades. Therefore, it is suggested that you notify us before making

with drawals from your account. It is recommended that withdrawals be made

on a quarterly basis.
