Grade awarded
Justification for grade awarded:
I do not feel that the work presented for this unit to date is an accurate reflection of your skills or work ethic for
practical tasks. It is however equally important for the paperwork to be of the same quality as this is an essential
part of any profession and helps to ensure that things run smoothly.
Targets for improvement:
1.1 The description of the lighting equipment should be of the equipment in the drama hall. To reflect this you
should take photos of the lighting rig and identify the different types of lighting that is there, what gels have
been used, where the lights are positioned and how they are balanced. You should also photograph and label
the lighting desk giving a brief explanation of the functions that you can carry out when using this piece of
equipment.
1.2 The Health and Safety checklist should be set out in a more professional manner that is easy to read at a
glance. Look at writing a set of rules that are short and to the point and adopt the same method of writing for
the safe cabling guide.
1.3 The lighting map should be in 1.1 along with the description of the equipment. This is not a plan as it stands
and needs more information and detail to complete this element of the unit. Look at the following websites to
get more information to help you with this.
