EVS

European Voluntary Service

The Erasmus+ programme aims:


to boost skills and employability
modernising Education, Training, and Youth work.

Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million


Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer
abroad.

What is EVS?
A chance to make a difference in the world and in your own life.
An opportunity to express your personal commitment through
unpaid and full-time voluntary activities in EU.
The EVS seeks to foster:
solidarity
mutual understanding
tolerance
social cohesion
active citizenship.
Their learning experience is formally recognized through a Youthpass.

EVS is not

Occasional, unstructured, part-time volunteering


An internship
A paid job and musnt substitude paid job
A recreation or tourist activity
A language course
A period of study or vocational training abroad.

Who can take part


People between 17 and 30 and willing to spend from 2 weeks
and up to 12 months.

How you can apply


Contact WE Center which is recruiting volunteers for a granted
project
To find a project, consult the database of accredited
organisation in Europe.
Our tips:
- Speak with WE Center and keep in touch with them; usually
they know host organizations abroad and they can help you.
- Join one of EVS group on Facebook they inform about
vacancy for projects: EVS vacancy

Monthly allowance and pocket money
Volunteers are not even required to pay a fee when
applying for an EVS project!

Each country has PROs and CONs. It is ok!
Choose the country in function of:
Your interests in the projects
Culture
The challenge you get

Youll get Schengen visa it means that you can travel


around EU (but UK, Ireland, Bulgaria, Romania,
Croatia are not in Schengen Area)
