successfully but missed 3 targets. What was his final score?

Problem Solving
1. The temperature of a cooler drops 3 oC every hour. If its initial temperature
is 2oC, find the temperature of the refrigerator 6 hours later.

2. The water level in a lake increases by 8 mm every minute during

monsoon season. How much will the water level rise from the original
level after half an hour?

3. Mr. Jagan has a good habit of saving money in bank. If he deposits RM250
a month, how much money will he have in bank after 1 year?

4. The temperature of an engine rises 1oC every minute. If its temperature

now is 25oC, find its temperature after 1 hours.

5. The water level in a leaking tank goes down 2cm every minute. Find the
total drop in water level after 2 hours.

6. Malim wants to lose some weight. If he plans to lose 3kg in 4 months, find
the total weight she will lose after 1 year.

7. A diver wants to dive to the bottom of the sea. If the depth of the sea is
108 meters and the diver can dive 4 meters per minute, how much time
does he need to reach the sea bed?

8. There are 84 marbles in a bottle. If Alice takes out 2 marbles a day, how
many days will she take to empty the bottle?

9. Suzana and Ahmad open a new game stall in a fun fair. After one week,
their business recorded a loss of RM215. How much loss does each of
them have to bear?

10. A diver can dive 12m every minute. Find the time taken by the diver to be
at a position 72m below sea level.

11. There are 154 vitamin pills in a bottle. If Anita takes 2 of the vitamin pills
in a day, how many days will she take to finish all the pills in the bottle?

12. Mr. Teo starts a business and makes a profit of RM480 per week. How
much time will it take for him to make a profit of RM2900?

a refrigerator. If the temperature of the drink drops 2 oC every minute, find
its temperature after 4 minutes.

14. A submarine was 100m below sea level. Seven minutes later, it was 1400m
below sea level. How deep can the submarine dive in one minute?

15. Mei Mei took part in a computer quiz consisting of 40 questions. Every
correct and wrong answer would be given +5 and 3 marks respectively. If
Mei Mei answered 33 questions correctly, how many marks would she
