Accomplishments

Attended the International Childrens Book Fair in Bologna, Italy as part of graduate studies at Dominican
University in March 2014. Met with representatives from various countries to gain a global perspective on the
trends in childrens publishing.

Planned, organized and secured funding for two writing workshops at Westfield Middle School with Kevin Coval,
co-founder of the Louder than a Bomb poetry festival. Students heard poetry, then wrote and shared their own
poems in an all-school assembly.

Selected as chairperson of the Library Committee at Congregation Etz Chaim. Supervise volunteers, oversee all
operations of the library, assist teachers with research projects, and coordinate monthly book discussions.

Received one of two annual student scholarships from the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL), a worldwide
professional library association. The award was presented at the AJL Annual Conference in Montreal, Canada in
June 2011.

Assist the head librarian in all aspects of running the library, including circulation, processing, and cataloging.
Fully manage the library when the head librarian is providing in-class instruction.

Corporate Planning - Coordinated business planning and budgeting processes for all departments of the Federal
Reserve Bank, including the head office in Chicago, and regional offices in Michigan, Iowa and Indiana.
Management Consulting Improved efficiency and effectiveness of operations for various departments as
requested. Spent significant time streamlining the check processing function at all District offices.
Internal Auditor - Performed audits of all internal departments, including check processing and financial services.
Led surprise audits of the cash department that included securing the vaults and counting all cash on the
premises.
