Installing XAMPP for Windows

Steps:
1. Download into a folder of your PC last version of XAMPP from url:
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html
2. Create a folder into drive C naming as you like where installation is going to be setup
(example: apachefriends).
3. Run (double click) downloaded file xampp-win32-1.7.3.exe to start installation
4. A screen (image1) is displayed which asks to set an installation's destination folder. Select
(by Browse) c:\apachefriends and click Install button.

5. Installation starts and a screen like image2 is displayed until to be completed.

6. Before installation is completed a screen (image3) is displayed which asks if we prefer a
XAMPP shortcut to be placed on our desktop (Select Yes or No)

Then another screen (image4) is displayed which asks if we prefer a portable XAMPP
without drive letter. Select (Yes or No) to continue installation.

7. When finally installation is completed, a screen (image5) is displayed

where, among options select list, we select 1 to start XAMPP Control Panel (image6)

8. XAMPP Control Panel starts and we select to start Apache and MySql (image7)

9. We open our Internet Browser (Firefox is recommended) and on url field we type
http://localhost/xampp/ and a screen (image8) is displayed which informs us that
installation of XAMPP is successful.
