The Yonkers Assyrian American Association is honored to present:

From A Crime Without A Name To Genocide: The


Simele Massacre of Assyrians, Iraq, August 1933
an exhibition from the Museum of Human Rights Freedom and Tolerance.
Opening Ceremony: November 21, 2014
5:00 PM: Doors open. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy light refreshments
and view the exhibit before the opening ceremony commences.

6:30 PM: Welcoming remarks by Fred Sarkiso, President of the Yonkers Assyrian
American Association; Honorable Michael Spano, Mayor of the City of Yonkers;
Honorable Liam McLaughlin, Yonkers City Council President and Honorable Michael
Sabatino, Yonkers City Council Minority Leader.

7:00 PM: Keynote presentation by Igor Kotler, Curator of the Museum of Human
Rights Freedom and Tolerance.

7:30 PM: Special presentation by Michel Shamoon Pour of Binghamton University.

*Exhibit Location & Hours: The exhibit is located at 82 Ludlow Street, Yonkers,
New York 10705. The exhibit will remain open from Friday, November 21st to
Wednesday, November 26th. We encourage you to visit throughout the duration of
the exhibit. The hours are: November 22nd-23rd: 12pm-5pm. November 24th-26th:
5pm-8pm.
