Other notes for the week on back:

and Review of all Community Helpers

1) Please do not forget to turn in the field trip forms and money if you have not yet done so. Also, please let me
know if any of you plan to attend the field trip. We need more parents/grandparents to go with us. We also
need one parent/grandparent who is willing to ride the bus as a chaperone during the ride. If you are interested,
please let me know ASAP.
2) We are updated our room to owls for the fall. Our behavior board has changed slightly. It is still the exact same
system, but the wording has changed. We have been talking about wisdom this week (application of
knowledge). I explained that you can know the right thing to do, but wisdom is doing what you know is right. We
have talked about using wisdom in our behavior by doing what we know is right. It would be great if you could
discuss this at home as well.
a. On Course is now Using Wisdom- These students are able to make wise choices without needing
reminders throughout the day.
b. Smooth Sailing is now Ready to Learn- These students know the rules and follow them most of the time,
but they are still learning to apply them consistently. They are ready to learn how to use wisdom.
c. Choppy Waters is now In Need of Instruction- These students still need reminders to follow the rules
they have learned.
d. Knot Making Good Choices is now Not Making Wise Choices- These students continue to make unwise
choices throughout the day and will have a note sent home.
3) Please make sure to review with your children so they are prepared for the evaluations this week.

Have a great weekend!!
