LSZL MOHOLY-NAGY

BIOGRAPHY

Lszl Moholy-Nagy was a Hungarian painter and


photographer as well as professor in the Bauhaus school. He
was highly influenced by constructivism and a strong advocate
of the integration of technology and industry into the arts.
Moholy-Nagy died of leukemia in Chicago in 1946. MoholyNagy University of Art and Design in Budapest is named in
his honour. Works by him are currently on display at the
National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
