The annual Engineers Ball was held on March 29th at the Executive West Hotel. It serves as an awards ceremony for E-Expo and a social gathering for Speed School students. This year it also marked the transition from the outgoing Speed School Student Council directors to the new directors led by President Adam Pfendt. Attendance was lower than usual possibly due to an overlapping NCAA basketball game being shown. The editor of the Speed News, Jared Hatfield, is stepping down and a new editor will need to be selected for next semester. Undergraduate Speed School students can now apply for scholarships for the fall 2008 semester with applications due by May 15th.

Attendance was down this year, but the event overlapped the University of Louisville NCAA basketball game.
