Cast notes

As a group we decided to keep our cast to a minimum of two characters, as we

believed it would be more suitable to have three characters with different roles,
which represent who they are. We chose our characters to be the following:
antagonist, victim and the unseen figure.

Name: Michael Douglas

Age: 24
Description: Black, Male, Average height, Funny, Talented
We chose to use Michael Douglas for the role of the attacker, who breaks into a
lovely big home, to find a girl sleeping in her bed. Michael uses his opportunity of
being in an empty home, with a victim he can attack. Michaels character is not fully
shown in the beginning of the clip, until he enters the house we have an
understanding of what he is actually like. Michael is an actor, so he is able to portray
his role in depth. As my role, being the director, I had to explain to my cast
individually how I want them to be represented. We are able to identify Michaels
representation through his gender, sexuality and ability. He is a tough, muscular man
who is confident to what his actions are and how he portrays them. We see him
being aggressive and powerful to the innocent victim he attacks.

Name: Stefania Sopterean

Age: 16
Description: Female, Light brown hair, Talented, Average Height
We chose to use Stefania Sopterean as our actress for role of the girl who gets
attacked by an attacker who uses the opportunity of her being home alone. Stefania
is a student who is also studying drama, she is able to use her skills and talents to
portray a girl who is getting attacked and most probably will die. Even though,
Stefanias role is not shown until further into the opening, her role is the biggest part
of understanding what Michaels character is really about. As my role, being the
director, I had to explain to my cast individually how I want them to be represented.
We are able to identify Stefanias representation through her gender and age. We
see Stefania being an attractive girl, being attacked. her strength is weak and she is
shown to be innocent as she cannot fight for herself.
