PTA NEWS
The traditional NNB Christmas raffle is on for the last time, so let's make it a good one. A
mufti day will be held on Thursday 4th December, which is also the date to have your
tickets and money returned. Please bring a non-perishable item for the hamper prizes or a
gold coin. Last year we had at least 12 prizes so we are hoping to do at least as many this
year. If anyone has any small boxes or baskets that could be used for this please hand them
on to the office.
Please fill in the form below and drop it into the box in the office, giving us details of an
existing after school / weekend activity in the eastern area that we can include into a
booklet that is being compiled to give to school children's families in 2015. We are hoping
this can be a way to boost relationships between the children and their families as the new
school is established.
PTA proposed changes Due to the closing of North New Brighton School at the end of the year, the current NNB
PTA will cease to exist, and therefore the bank accounts held by the current PTA will be
closed.
An agreement to transfer a fixed amount to the newly established Rawhiti School PTA
account has been made, along with a plan to transfer any additional funds left at the end of
the 2014 school year into this new account. In this way the school community and children
the funds were raised for, will be able to benefit going forward into 2015. If anyone has
questions or comments regarding this decision please contact the school office and the
current PTA members will respond to as appropriate.
Thank you for your support of the PTAs events and fundraising, whether it's just been for
one term or for many years or anything in between. The participation and generosity has
been incredible and much appreciated by students, staff and the whole school community.
