I attended Richards Middle School for 7-8th grade.I studied Social Studies, Math

,English, and science. in both 7 and 8th grade. In 7th grade for selective had band
,quest, applied tech, Life skills, and computer literacy. I n 8th grade I took computer
literacy and career exploration ,Spanish, and life skills which is a class that teaches
culinary skills and sewing .I participated in relay for life and WEB for extra school
activities.
I attended Kendall college for 4 years and graduated with a culinary arts
Certificate because a degree is not required. I lived in an apartment nearby the
Campus to avoid the strict campus rules .I had pretty great mentors my favorite
Was Mr. Chris Koetke I learned a lot from him and he is what inspired me to be a chef
He taught me everything I know and I am forever grateful for him.

Work Experience

Landscaping
Terrell Dixon
Fraser, Michigan
I landscape for Mr .Terrell Dixon by cutting the grass and raking leaves .I get paid $5
for each lawn and pile of leaves I rake .I do it every 2 weeks only when the weather is
cooperating.

Feb. 12- Sept. 3

I worked part time as a barista at Starbucks in Chicago. As a barista I made drinks


And also served them to the customers. I learned lots of preparation and sanitation
Skills. I balanced work and school together and made it work.

Volunteer Experiences

Lakrisha Garner
Baker's assistant
Detroit, Michigan

During my volunteer work I helped my cousin Lakrisha bake a cake for a birthday
party. She's a professional baker and I learned a lot from her.It took approximately 5
hours to complete and it was really fun I would've stayed longer but I got really sleepy.
I didn't want to get paid to do it because I like baking and its really fun.

For 2 weeks in March I volunteered for an organization called C.H.E.F.S and thats
an organization where I taught homeless adults culinary skills. Lots of them
commented me and told me how Im a great teacher and I would make a perfect chef
an I loved it so much I wished it was more than 2 weeks.
