ARKANSAS STATE USBC YOUTH CHAMPHIONSHIP TOURNAMENT RULES PLEASE KEEP RULES - - - BRING YOUR OWN SUBSTITUTES USBC tournament rules will govern tournament. Age classification shall be in accordance with USBC regulations. ‘The USBC. Youth Code shall prevail. Smoking or any form of tobacco (including e-cigs) will not be permitted during competition. No suggestive or obscene wearing apparel. No spaghetti straps, crop tops or short shorts. Shorts must be at least fingertip Tength. Attire must not have visible tears, holes or frays and undergarments may not be exposed. All shirts must have sleeves. No head gear will be permitted except for medical conditions. No tobacco, beer or alcohol advertising allowed on ‘wearing apparel or bowling equipment. Coin operated games will not be allowed during competition. USBC Rule 301b will apply along with penalty. Each entrant must be a member in good standing with USBC and must bow! in a sanctioned USBC league within the Arkansas State USBC Youth Association boundaries. League sanction applications must be on file with USBC before entries will be accepted and processed, ‘A bowler may enter each event only once and shall bow! 3 games in each event, ‘Teams shall consist of 4 bowlers. Doubles shall ‘consist of 2 bowlers. Team and doubles shall be determined by age of oldest bowler as of August 1, 2014 from (4) divisions: Bantam, Prep, Junior and Major-Senior, Entrants in doubles must also bowl singles and vice-versa. Divisions in singles and all events shall be the same except with a separate boy and girl division for age group for a total of 8 divisions. Handicaps will be based on bowler's highest sanctioned league average (18 game minimum) as of December 21, 2014. If bowler does not have an 18 game or more average in one league as of December 21, 2014, the bowler shall use his/her highest 18 game average when itis established. ASUSBCY members who do not have a 18 game average in one league at time of participation may use hisher highest 2014 summer league average or his/her highest 2013-2014 season final book average with a minimum of 18 games. Ifno December 21, 2014, current, summer or previous season average with 18 or more games, bowler must bowl scratch. Handicaps shall be 90% of the difference between the bowler’s average and 200. A league standing sheet or ual average sheet of each bowler as of December 21, 2014, current, summer or previous season must accompany all entries. Tournament Director reserves the right to re-rate a bowler if deemed necessary, Bowlers on leagues using sport lane conditions shall have their averages adjusted using the USBC Sport Average Adjustment Seale. Allentries properly completed with full fees must be postmarked no later than the first Post Office business day after January 26, 2015, In order for entries to be scheduled the same weekend, entries must be sent in the same envelope. Entry fees tmust be in the form of Money Order, Cashier's Check or Local Association, League or Bowling Center checks, NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE RETURNED WITH ENTRY. After correct entries have been received and the dates assigned in the schedule, no fee shall be refunded. Falsification of averages or age classification shall disqualify bowler and team, ALL AVERAGES MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE BOWLERS COACH, COLLEGIATE COACH OR LOCAL ASSOCIATION MANAGER AND MUST INCLUDE THEIR FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER AND ASSOCIATION. Winner's average and age are subject to further verification by the tournament manager. Please bring your own substitutes if possible, Substitute Forms must be submitted at least 1 1/2 HOURS before scheduled bowling time. Average and age must be verified by bowler's coach or local association manager. Substitutes not having a 18 game average as of December 21, 2014 must have a league standing sheet or individual average sheet attached to substitute form to verify bowlers current 18 game average, bowler's 2014 summer league or 2013-2014 season final book average with 18 or more games. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a 200 average being used. All bowlers must check in at the tournament office 45 minutes Bowlers must bowl in order listed on entry form. Once a substitute is accepted, he/she shall take the position of the absent bowler. No rearranging of bowlers will be permitted after schedule is published. [An absentee score may be used in team event only. Only ONE absentee score may be used, Absentee score will be 10 pins under the average of the absentee bowler, plus handicap. Absentee score must be from the original bowler submitted on entry with an established average, (Note: Ifa spot is left unfilled at the time schedule is published and a substitute is not available at the time of competition, a zero score will be given for this vacant spot. Absentee score will only be used for the original bowler.) Each bowler shall have a bowling ball for his/her individual use inthe tournament, Only one bowling ball on return rack per bowler ‘at any given time, Bowlers will remain on the same lanes during doubles and singles event Awards will be based on one for every ten entries oF major fraction in each of the events per division as long. as there is a majority ‘ofthe ten in each event. Alll events will be awarded for handicap and scratch to the boy and gil first place winners in each of the tight (8) divisions. In case of ties for first place, duplicate awards will be given and co-champions declared. Awards will be sent to the local association manager or youth official 30 days after completion of tournament. All awards shall be in form of trophies or plaques. Any scholarships awarded from the tournament will be deposited with the SMART Program at USBC in account 9357. Entrant not present and ready to bow! at scheduled time shall forfeit all fees paid in said event Tournament Director shall have the authority to revise schedule and/or lanes as necessary. ‘The tournament director will cooperate ‘with requested dates when possible, but will have the final authority in making the schedule.
