6th Experiment: Temperature:

Problem: Does the colour of the care affect the temperature of the air inside on sunny days?
Aim: To test which coloured can will affect the drink the most.
Hypothesis: The black can will heat up more.
Materials: coloured, soft drinks cans, thermometer, water
Safety Precautions: dont knock over the thermometer, dont cut you self on the inside in the can
(sharp part)
Method:
1. Pour water into cans and measure out 250ml and initial temp.
2. Place cans in sun and wait 5 mins.
3. Record after 5 mins.
4. Repeat steps 3, 5 times.
Variables:
Independent: colour of can
Dependant- temperature
Controlled: volume of H20, environment, time intervals.

Conclusion:
The experiment was conducted successfully and the hypothesis was proven correct as the black can
heated up more.
