Dear Ms. Walker:
My name is Ximena Villarroel and I am a student at the University of North
Florida in the Didactic Program in Dietetics expecting to graduate in the year of 2015.
I am seeking a position in the graduate physician assistant program at East Ohio
University. I am interested in becoming a full time graduate student in this program in the
year of 2016. I heard about East Ohio University at a career fair in Atlanta last October.
Mr. Tudor whom I spoke with at the career fair referred me to you.
In the past year I have shadowed a P.A Danielle Burke on multiple occasions for a
grand total of 158 hours. I also volunteered in the internal medicine department at the
Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville for the last eight months. During my experience I have
observed procedures done by medical professionals, roomed patients and acquired their
anthropometrics. I am particularly interested in the P.A program at East Ohio University
due to their emphasis on pediatrics. I gained interest in the field of pediatrics while doing
WIC training in 2013. I have enclosed a resume, which will give you additional
information concerning my background and interests.
