TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Practicum Hours, Durango 9R Public Schools, Ignacio and the Denier Center

2012-Present
Completed over 150 hours of observation
Riverview Elementary Developed a 5th grade science unit in which we explored
weather in the form of various projects, specifically a painting workshop that led
to an exhibition with parents.
Animas High School Assisted seniors with independent art projects ranging
from acrylic painting to pen and ink work. Taught a lesson on watercolor
painting.
Denier Center Designed and taught independently a collage art project
specifically for students who may not be able to participate for long periods of
time and for new students to be able to jump in at any time.
Escalante Middle School Helped guide 6th grade students through various art
projects including color theory, sculpture and perspective drawing.
Ignacio High School Worked with 11th and 12th graders on a reading and
writing unit focusing on self-expression and poetry.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Guide classes of up to forty people through a step-by-step painting that I recreate
Assist customers/students in finding their creative side while giving instruction
on how to use materials appropriately
Taught kids classes four days a week with up to fifteen children at a time, ages
ranging anywhere from 3 year to 12 years old.

Assisted patient families with sleeping accommodations, food, and other needs
Led the development of a wheelchair assistance program to ensure patients
comfort and convenience when traveling throughout the hospital grounds
