What is the solar system?

The solar system is made up of 8 planets
which are Mercury , Mars , Saturn
,Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter ,Earth and
Venus.

MERCURY
About Mercury
Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, and its
the smallest planet in the solar system. Mercury is
57,900,000 km away from the sun. The picture on
the right of mercury was taken by messenger 2008
and transmitted back to the earth for the scientists
to study.

VENUS
Venus is a similar size to the earth and likes the
earth its made of thick silicate and has an iron
core.

EARTH
Earth is the planet we live on
it also orbits the sun.

MARS

Is Mars known as the red planet?

It is known as a red planet it
is very cold its 16.C it has no
water.

JUPITER
Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar
system.

SATURN
Saturn is used by lots of rings.

URANUS
Uranus has a ring on the side and light blue
too.

NEPTUNE
Neptune is the outmost planet of the solar system.
